Nikkie glanced at Jacob out of the corner of her eye. "You make it sound like the apocalypse just happened and we are part of a small surviving band of humans. Or a giant catastrophe just happened. Or we've been kidnapped, or something else," she chuckled at that. "I suppose it's kinda dark to be laughing at situations like that, isn't it?" she shrugged. Sitting there for the moment she kept staring at the lake, but thought about Jacob. She shot to her feet suddenly and spun towards Jacob. "Now what?"

Jacob chuckled when Nikkie said that he made the situation sound like a perilous one. He looked back toward the lake when she finished, thinking. I'm happy I helpt Nikkie feel more comfortable in this relationship, but suppose she acts shy around other campers? How would I help her in that situation? I know this is my first relationship with a girl, but I just feel, in tuned in some way. Like I know how to act. Still, I'm happy Nikkie and I both share our feelings for each other Jacob snapped out of his thoughts when Nikkie shot to her feet and turned to look at him, asking what they should do. Jacob thought for a few seconds, before rising to his feet and answering, ''I don't know, do you want to go for a walk down the beach? Just us two?".

"Well, it obviously couldn't be more than us two, since our PEGASI ABANDONED US!!!" she shouted that last part in the general direction of the two equines. She thought for a moment about his suggestion. "Sure, why not? Can we go this direction though?" she pointed in the opposite direction of the pegasi. And she turned on her toes and walked off. Guess I'm going to have to come back again later for my stuff. "So, do we have anything to talk about?"

ooc: Srry for the cheesy answer

Jacob snickered when Nikkie entered her ending comment in the direction of the pegasi. Strangely, he was curious as to why the two pegasi weren't back yet. They had only gone for a walk down the beach, and they couldn't have gotten lost, unless...they had stopped somewhere. Putting those thoughts aside, he followed and caught up with Nikkie as she started walking. When she asked if they had anything to talk about, Jacob thought for a few seconds. ''Well...I'm pretty sure we covered everything, so I guess...we could just go to a spot where no one would interrupt us, if you want'' he answered as he reached out his hand to hold hers but stopped, not entirely sure if he should.

ooc: it's okay, it's an awkward romance, what else can you expect?

Nikkie heard and felt Jacob fall in step beside her. "Well... I don't think we covered EVERY topic. But seen as how none come to mind, I guess we could say that," she shrugged a bit. "Wait," she stopped in her tracks and stared, squinting up at the sky. "We're on the beach correct? Isn't that a romantic spot?" without waiting for an answer she shrugged again and continued on her way. "I guess it isn't sunset, so it probably isn't as romantic. Of course, it wouldn't have to be sunset, it could be sunrise, but uh, I've never watched those chick flicks. Those are what I call drama queens. Then again I have read romance manga and..." she looked at Jacob out of the corner of her eye. "I'm rambling, aren't I? Eh, oh well. At least it's better than awkward silence right?"

ooc: Exactly I think we should do something to make Nikkie more in tune, and make the romance less awkward.

Jacob laughed as Nikkie started rambling on, first about the sunset and sunrise, then about chick flicks, drama queens and finally about romance manga. ''Your right, rambling does beat an awkward silence.'' Thinking back to what Nikkie had mentioned about romance manga, he suddenly developed an idea. '' I realize that you still feel a bit shy about doing romantic things with me. I guess it just comes naturally to me, but I just thought of a way to help you become more comfortable. Why don't you follow the lead of the people in romance manga. Since you love manga so much, you can use that as help. That way, when we hug or kiss or anything, you won't feel shy''. Jacob exclaimed as he finally got the courage to hold her hand again.

ooc: Nikkie is Nikkie, she'll get there when she gets there

Nikkie stopped and looked down at their clasped hands before looking back at Jacob. "Hmmm, let me think... Are you very popular movie and TV star and me a newbie TV star with amazing talent? Are you a dimwitted, but brilliant swordsman and me the second most powerful sorceress? Are you the perfect guy with annoyingly perfect timing and me the student council president? No to all three. And those are my normal ones. Sorry Jacob, but you are going to have to rely on good old fashion patience." Nikkie shrugged and continued walking. "It's kinda hard to follow the example of people who aren't in my situation and aren't real."

Jacob stopped walking when Nikkie stopped to answer him. He sighed and nodded when she listed all the things they weren't. He listened silently as she explained that he would have to wait for her to become more in tuned and less shy about romantic things. He resumed his walking when she too started, his hand still clasped to her's. He realized what he was doing when she explained that it was hard to follow the example of people who weren't real. He looked up and exclaimed, ''I realized what I was trying to do. I was asking you to be someone you weren't. ''I'm sorry" he exclaimed as he slightly looked at the sand.

"It's fine. I wish I was like those kids cause they aren't facing death when they leave a certain part of the world. Plus, their lives are interesting, but their activities aren't deadly," Nikkie was thinking about capture the flag and the rock wall when she said that. Talk about dangerous. I wonder if they have actually killed anyone in either of those activities? I hope not. That would suck if you were the one who died. Especially on the rock wall. Death by falling off. Or by being crushed. Or burned alive by lava. Or the worst one yet.... Falling to your death while being burned by lava and then crushed by a rock. Nikkie shuddered, then picked up her pace since she had nearly slowed to a stop while thinking. "So," Nikkie thought for a moment, "what are your interests?" she couldn't think of anything else to say.

Jacob looked up and sighed as he continued walking. He had been in deep thought. I got so focused on getting her to be someone she wasn't. I guess I got carried away in my own, selfish self. I was trying to make her someone she wasn't. Big mistake. Luckily, she forgave me, so all's well that ends well. I realize that she just needed time to get used to being in a relationship. As her boyfriend, it's my job to respect her opinions and choices. I'll wait as long as it needs for her. Snapping out of his thoughts, Jacob realized that Nikkie had slowed down. Judging by the fact that their hands, though still intertwined, were hanging in mid-air between them. Jacob looked back as Nikkie resumed pace with him. She asked him what his interests were, seeming to have nothing else to say. Jacob thought for a moment before answering, ''Well, I like spending time in nature. I like animals, plants, anything in nature, you name it. Apart from nature stuff, I like sports, hanging with friends...and you", he said teasingly. ''What about you?''.

Again, Nikkie's cheeks heated up, but she fixed her gaze ahead and nodded. "Well, I like nice days, drawing and anime. Oh, and a good old western movie. I don't know why though," she shrugged. "Most girls are drooling over the new hottie in Hollywood, and I'm cheering for John Wayne in Cowboys. Of course most girls aren't half bloods. Go figure. But still, it's odd for me 'cause I'm pretty sure this love of western movies didn't stem from anyone in my family. Unless Apollo likes them. Hey Dad, do you like westerns?" she waited for an answer. When none were offered then she shrugged and turned to Jacob. "Guess I'm going to have to wait until I see him face to face. Maybe I should do twenty questions, write them down and when I see him next ask all of them," she paused, a thoughtful look on her face. "That's going to be a lot more than twenty questions."

Jacob smiled when he noticed that Nikkie started blushing again. She's cute when she blushes, that's what I like about her. She's so open about things he thought to himself. Jacob smiled when she explained that she liked westerns, as opposed to the majority of girls that like Hollywood glamour and glitz. He looked at her when she questioned all the things she would have to ask her dad when they meet. Thinking too himself for a few seconds seconds, ''I'm not really sure what to ask my mother if I do meet her again. Compared to other gods and goddesses, my mother didn't really have a lot of...lovers...but what would she say if she found out about us?" Jacob questioned as he started to get a bit nervous.

"Us? How should I know? The gods are so hard to pin down personality wise. Well, except for Ares. It's not hard to see what's going through his brain." That is if he has a brain. "But personally, I think you mom won't mind this 'cause I doubt our parents are in a feud right now. Then again, the gods are unpredictable as I said, sooooo," Nikkie thought for a moment. "So far we have nothing in common.... What are other interests?"

Jacob chuckled when Nikkie mentioned that Ares was really the only god who was able to be read easily. When she also mentioned that she doubted that their parents were in a feud, he sighed in relief. Thank goodness my mom is a peaceful goddess and isn't hot-headed . Snapping out of his thoughts, he listened as she explained that they didn't have anything in common and questioned if he had any other interests. He thought for a few seconds before answering, ''Well, I'm pretty sure we both like hanging out with friends, and we both like each other..so there's a few common things. I don't think it really matters about the common things between a couple. It matters if they like each other enough.'' Jacob exclaimed.

"Yes, while that is true, it is nice to have something in common so we can talk about something and actually understand, or at least have a slight interest in what the other is saying. Right?" she claimed back her hand and jumped in front of Jacob, forcing him to stop. "For example, my best friend and I are both obsessed with British TV shows, cause they are really good. But we are pretty much opposite in every other way. But having the one thing in common allows us to find common ground. But then again," she spun around and continued walking, "they say opposites attract, so maybe it isn't the British shows that keeps us together, but the opposing sides." Nikkie rubbed her temples, "I am going way to deep into detail now, aren't I?" she twirled around to face Jacob and stopped.

Jacob nearly jumped when Nikkie jumped out of her pace and with her, her hand that had been entwined with his. She jumped into his path and forced him stop. She explained that both she and her friend were obsessed with British TV shows. She then went on to explain the things that kept them together were probably the opposing sides. She rubbed her temples and questioned if she was going in detail. Jacob chuckled and answered her, ''Yeah you are but it's all good. That's what makes you different from other people. You like speaking your mind. That's what makes you one of a kind'' Jacob exclaimed as he looked at her with a smile.

"Really? Are you sure it isn't that half of my family is, I don't know, immortal? I mean I know a lot of people who speak their minds. It only depends on how well they do it." Nikkie turned back around and started walking off. "For example, I know some people have a lot of things they would like to speak their opinions about... stuff. But the way they go about it is sometimes to forceful, so they'll probably end up on a debate team. And we'll probably see one of them as a politician. Then there are others, who make great points, but don't stay centered on the topic at hand. We may also see them in office too. And then there are some who just freeze when they get up in front of a large crowd, but have no problem talking to a small group of people. And there are people who are like me and can say anything, do anything, and somehow look cool and calm." She laughed at that. Knowing what she knew, the cool and calm look was all an act and truthfully everyone had a humming bird's heart right then. "So!" she turned to face him again, "how are you at public speaking? Or doing anything in public? You strike me as someone who avoids unnecessary public attention. But, I'm terrible at reading people so you'll need to tell me. So.....?" she let the question hang there.

Jacob chuckled once again as Nikkie went of into her own little world. She started listing the different situations in which a person would be in if they spoke their mind. She talked about everything from politicians to debate teams to even people with stage fright. When she spun around to look at him, she questioned if he was one of those people as it seemed to her that he wasn't. Jacob thought about this question for a few times before answering, ''Well, you guessed right because I'm not really the kind of guy who likes speaking in public. Of course, if I have to I would, but I'm normally one of the more quiet guys who likes speaking less. If I was with a bunch of friends, I could probably talk really long, but I guess I just haven't talk too much since arriving here.''

Nikkie studied him for a moment. "So I was half right. Awesome, but not speaking to campers isn't really a great idea. It's best to get to know people and become friends quickly. They might just save your life one day. Of course then again, you just got here a couple days ago, so I guess you could be cut some slack." She stopped talking. "Well, aren't I a chatter box? Here I am talking my life away and you have barely gotten a word in. Well, other than me pausing long enough so I can breath and only at that time have you actually talked. So you talk now."

Jacob chuckled when she mentioned the ''save your life part", although he had been here only a couple of days, who knew what could happen. He looked at her when she exclaimed that she was being a chatterbox and urged him to talk. He thought for a few seconds before speaking, ''No, no, It's alright. I don't really have much to say right now so you can continue. Besides, I like hearing your voice, I think it's really cute like you" Jacob said cheekily.

"Are you sure that you haven't had practice in dating? You have an awful lot of pick up lines and other mushy stuff like that." Nikkie was watching him curiously. "But really, it's hard to be the only one talking, it is SO much easier when other people are in the conversation," she leaned close and whisper out of the side of her mouth like this was a big secret. "And by other people I mean you," she poked him in the side. "So talk, please. It's not very hard. You open your mouth and says whatever comes to you mind. But, that isn't always a good idea. I have had lots of practice of saying what comes to mind, and then I'm in trouble. Like one time, I accidentally broke the window of Kevin's car. And then I told him that. Of course then I said, I guess its a good thing, now you can get rid of that old junk heap. I was grounded for two weeks. It would have been one if I had kept my trap shut, but you know. Oh god, I'm trying to get you to talk and it's me doing the talking. Sorry, now talk."

Jacob chuckled and shrugged his shoulders when Nikkie questioned if he was sure he had not been in a relationship before. ''When your mother is one of the, Original Six, gods. Your father would have to be really good at convincing her to marry him. I guess either it just comes naturally to me, or I'm remembering stuff my dad supposedly taught me. Either way, I do seem to have lot of pick up lines, don't I? I guess it sort of comes out of me when I like a girl, even though I've never dated one before. I just like spending time with you, which probably makes me start complementing you. Even though I mean all of it" Jacob took a breath after he finished, realizing he had talked more than he usually did.

"Uh huh," Nikkie sighed. Then she perked up. "Hey you were talking! Yay! At least I'm not the only one talking and doing everything. I think I already mentioned this, but its better when two or more people play off each other. Much easier to keep up a conversation. Don't you agree?" She looked up at him then looked confused for a moment. "You are really tall. I just noticed that," she placed a head on her head then raised her other had to Jacob's height. "Is it bad that I just noticed something obvious? Why am I even asking? Of course it's bad. Why do you ask? Because it is so obvious and I totally skipped over it. I really should pay better attention. Oh, I also running out of logical and or funny conversations, please help."

Jacob smiled and looked toward the lake when Nikkie praised him for talking. Before he had come to camp, he had actually talked a fair bit with his friends. I guess I just needed to get used to the people at this camp, and what better way than it to be with your girlfriend Jacob silently thought to himself. Jacob raised his eyebrow in a confused way, when Nikkie started mentioning how tall he was. He laughed when she asked him to help make more..logical conversations. He thought for a few seconds before answering. ''I guess we could talk about this camp, or how we got here, or what our favourite activities are, or maybe why the Aphrodite people are always good matchmakers, event though the answer to that is pretty obvious" Jacob stopped when he realized that he had started talking again. ''Looks like I'm tuned into talking again" he exclaimed.

ooc: I realized we forgot about the pegasi

Finally finished her tears, Shade decided to heave herself up and try to find Lughna again. She shook some sand from her coat, and trudged back up the beach, looking for his familiar red coat. As she was walking, she was contemplating about her actions earlier, and why she always felt..."weird" around him.

"Yeah," Nikkie sighed, "I think that we've either talked about those subjects or its just to obvious. Wow, do we need to have more conversations." She was quiet for once. The silence stretched to what she thought was awkward. "Okay!" Nikkie leaped forward, "talking is a great past time, so... do you like...." she stopped moving a thoughtful look on her face. Throwing up her arms she fell back in the sand. "I give up! I don't know what to talk about." Propping herself up on her elbows she looked up at Jacob. "Any other ideas, 'cause I'm out." A flicker of red out of the corner of Nikkie's eye and she looked again. "Lughna!" She was up and at Lughna's side in an instant. "Or maybe our new activity will come walking down the beach." Lughna's head was half lowered and if he wasn't walking he'd be happily asleep. But Nikkie was here so he picked up his head and dropped it on her shoulder, causing her to gasp at the sudden weight. "To lazy to even pick up your head. Jeez, when you go down you go down hard." she scratched his neck and his eyes closed farther. Nikkie patted his neck and tried to lift his head up, which he just placed back on her shoulder. She tilted her head back trying to see Jacob so she could address him properly. "I choose the horse with all the energy in the world but can be the laziest and most unmotivated of them all. What are ya gonna do?" she shrugged her one shoulder since the other was trapped under Lughna's head.

Jacob sighed as they both became overcome with silence. Once again, Jacob had become the quiet self he was when he first arrived at the camp. The silence was broken when Nikkie jumped to her feet, as if she was about to suggest something they could do, before collapsing on the ground and again they were overcome with silence. He turned his gaze toward her as she did the same thing. As Jacob was about to suggest something, he was stopped when Nikkie bolted up and sped to an approaching Lughna. As she caressed her Pegasi, Jacob noticed something was wrong. When Lughna had left earlier, he had accompanied Shade, now he was by himself. Curious he started down the beach, turning back toward the two and exclaiming, ''I'm going to find Shade. She should have been with him"

Shade had been walking for a long time, trying to find Lughna. She breathed out as she continued walking. What was wrong with her? Why had she wanted Shade to accompany her in the first place? They never communicated that well before, why now of all times, and to top things off, why did she blush when she fell on top of him? Sure, the moment was awkward, but she never blushed before. Was she starting to.....like him? These thoughts swirled in her head as she continued walking.

"We'll come with you," Nikkie huffed. She finally managed to lift his head enough to slip out from under him. His head fell and his muzzle hit the ground. He jerked back and sneezed. "Serves you right. Now are you awake?" she placed her hands on her hips. Lughna sneezed again, eyed her accusingly, before bobbing his head in a nod. "Good boy. Now come on." She ran ahead to catch up with Jacob, Lughna trotting alongside her. Nikkie slowed to Jacob's pace when she met him and Lunghna positioned his head and neck between them soon Nikkie could scratch. "I wonder if she got lost," Nikkie said, rubbing Lughna's neck under his mane. "Of course then she'd just fly to find one of us. Or she'd go back to the stables I would think."

Jacob slowed a little as he waited for Nikkie and Lughna to catch up. WHne they reached him, they continued the search for Shade. As he was looking around for her, he heard Nikkie question if Shade might have become lost or if she had flown back to the stables. Jacob thought for a few seconds as he continued looking. As he was about to answer her, he noticed a dark shape trotting up the beach in their direction. He squinted his eyes and breathed a sigh of relief. It was Shade. ''Shade!" He yelled as he ran toward his plodding pegasi. She reared her neck and her mouth looked as if it was beaming with happiness as she ran toward her partner. Jacob wrapped his arms around her neck as she rubbed her muzzle against his cheek. ''What happened? Why are you so far behind? Why weren't you beside Lughna?" Jacob questioned as he bombarded her with questions. At the mention of the familiar, red pegasi, Shade looked up and noticed Nikkie and Lughna not far behind. When she saw the red-colored roan, her eyes immediately narrowed in anger. Jacob noticed the look in her eyes but also saw another unexpected look. A hint of...interest? Jacob's mouth dropped as he continued staring at his pegasi. Snapping out of his daze, Jacob knew he had to play a factor in this approaching issue. ''Uhh Nikkie..can I talk to you over here for a quick second?" he asked as he walked a few meters from the pegasi.

"Um, okay" she slipped out from under Lughna's head which had once again draped itself across her shoulder. As she left Lughna heaved a great sigh and lowered himself into the sand. "What's up?" Nikkie asked standing next to Jacob.

Jacob looked over to make sure the pegasi weren't watching before turning his attention to her. ''When I was hugging Shade, I noticed a look in her eyes. I don't mean the usual, happy to see you, look. I mean I noticed that Shade looked like she...I don't know...had an interest in Lughna. Now, it could just be me, or it could be true. This is just what I saw. Do you think, if it's true, you could talk to Lughna about this?"
