"Nah, I can relax for a few moments." Nikkie laid back again, using her hands as a pillow. She watched the clouds float by for a few moments. Minutes later Nikkie sat up. "No, I can't sit still. You are right, I have much more energy than you," she stood up. A walk? Nah, how 'bout practice? Maybe. Hmmmm, "Feel up to a fight? I would offer target practice but my bow is to small for you to borrow."

[Jacob Adams]

Jacob nodded and closed his eyes when she explained that she could wait a few moments. He heard her getting up and exclaim that she couldn't wait any longer. He chuckled and opened his eyes. He saw her anxious to get up and followed her lead. She started suggesting things they could do, then narrowed it down to mainly battling. Jacob considered the options and answered her, "Alright, fine, you win. We'll have a battle" He chuckled as he saw her adrenaline running high.

"Yay!" Nikkie paused for a moment, "I didn't give you much of a choice, did I? Oh well, no taking back!" she grinned broadly and practically danced a couple feet away. "Kay, first off," Nikkie tossed away her quiver and knife, "don't hurt me to badly. I'm not so great at hand to hand combat but, I need to learn. And I'm say you don't hurt me because you're bigger, and I doubt I could hurt a fly in a fight." Nikkie removed her arm protector and threw it to the pile she had started. "Second, if you want to stop the fight shout stop, mercy, uncle, anything that means to stop fighting. 'Kay? Thirdly, no using any weapons. That includes rocks, sand, or any piece of wood lying about. Ummm.... I think that covers the basics. Oh, this is a fight, so neither of us should pinch, scratch, bite or pull hair. Basically no cheap shots." She looked at him waiting for any questions. "Oh! And I'm sorry if this is a lot of rules but you know the saying, better safe then sorry." she said. Though, I doubt that saying really applies here. Oh well. "Ready when you are," she stood silent finally, waiting for attack.

Jacob readied himself as Nikkie pranced of a few feet away. He waited patiently as she took off and piled her protection and weapons off to the side. He tried to remember all the rules as she listed them. The rules greatly differed for a normal, weapon to weapon battle. Alright, I've never been in an actual fight before, and the rules are really different from battles that are fought at the arena. I'm just going to have fight by instinct Jacob thought to himself as Nikkie prepared herself for an attack. Jacob snapped out of his thoughts, calmed himself, and accepted the challenge. He started running toward her with a fist.

When Jacob attacked, Nikkie easily danced out of the way, only staying close enough to aim a punch at his side. Then she made sure she was completely out of range. That would be her tactic, dodge mostly and attack and hopefully wear him out. She shifted from foot to foot, trying to focus. She smiled, thinking, It's a regular half blood boxing match. Except with half the rules, no audience, no ring set up and no trainers yelling at us. She jumped back in, again punching at the same place. Hm, I wonder what it'd be like if we knew, like, karate or something.... It'd probably hurt a lot more.

ooc: Okay, ill end it on the next turn.

Jacob looked up as Nikkie danced out of the way and looked up to receive a punch to his side. He stepped back a few paces before turning his attention back to the fight. He tried to focus his defense as she came in for a punch on the same spot. Alright, it looks like she's going to try to stay out of range and then come in for a quick attack. I think I can counter that Jacob thought to himself as he watcehd her for any attacks. He took a stance and watched as she looked like she was contemplating her plan. He silently confirmed his before trying to attack when she wasn't focused.

Nikkie squeaked and tried to avoid Jacob's attack but got hit in the shoulder, the punch spinning her away. Okay, focus. No being off in LaLa Land. She shifted her standing before darting in for another attack. This time she was going to try to offset him by trying to knock his feet out from under him, but she abandoned that idea and simply went for a punch in the gut. She kept traveling past him and hoped she would get hit from behind.

Jacob watched as Nikkie was sent spinning, following his punch. He focused as she shifted and went for another attack. She seemed to be going for his feet but then, she looked like she abandoned the idea. He watched as she focused her attention again and went past him. He squinted, It seems like she wants me to hit her from behind. So I'll just take her out from underneath Fast as he could he followed her and swung his feet, so she tripped. When she fell, he walked over. ''I take it, I win" he said as he extended a hand.

Nikkie hit the sand and rolled. Shaking sand from her hair and face she blinked up at the offered hand. She took it and allowed herself be pulled to her feet. "Well, I wasn't expecting that. I had hoped you'd just move to hit me and then I'd attack at that point, when you were open. Instead you knock my feet out from under me. Nice," she bent at the waist and scrub her hands through her hair trying to shake out the irritating bits of sand. "I yield, obviously, to your skills." she shook her head one more time and straightened. "Thanks for fighting with me, now I know how much I need to improve. Which is a lot," Nikkie shrugged at that.

Jacob blinded himself from some of the sand she shook off as she rose. SAhe stated that she hadn't been expecting the move he had used. Jacob watched as she tried to shake the sand from her hair. Well, it looks like I'm not as bad at sparring as I thought I would be. I'm pretty sure spending all your time in a garden wouldn't make you the strongest kid in camp. he thought to himself as she straightened up and thanked him. ''No problem, it's good to get some exercise in here and there. No that we're a bit sore from the mini fight. How about we cool of by taking a walk or going in the lake? Your choice" He exclaimed as he stretched a little.

"I call the lake!" Nikkie kicked off her shoes before running into the lake and plunging below the surface. She surfaced some distance farther out and floated on her back. The water washed the last bits of sand clinging to her skin and cloths away. All she needed was a floatie and she could fall asleep right there. Of course she wouldn't that would be rude. She righted herself and treaded the water for a moment. Now what? She had been bored earlier, but now she had someone to talk to, and it wasn't stimulating any creative things to do. Nikkie rolled her eyes and laid back, doing a slow backstroke.

Jacob laughed and shook his head as she kicked off her shoes, sprinted toward the lake and plunged in. He saw her surface farther out and relax on her back. He took his shoes off, and dived in as well. He relaxed himself as the cool water surged over and covered him. He surfaced and floated on his back for a few minutes. This is really relaxing. I could do this all day, but I have someone with me. Nevertheless....it is relaxing... Jacob thought to himself as he closed his eyes and floated with the waves.

Nikkie looked around to see that Jacob had joined her with relaxing in the lake. An idea sparked in her head and she grinned mischievously. She slipped under the water and swam as close as she dared to him. Quietly she surfaced and paddled a bit closer to him. When she thought she was close enough she screamed "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" and waved her arms at him, before collapsing into uncontrollable laughter. Of course it's hard to laugh and stay afloat at the same time so after a few minutes she stopped laughing and fell into coughing fits. It was still hard to stay above water, but it was managable. Note to self; congratulate the Poseidon kids on their ability to breath under water. Finally feeling she hadn't inhaled half the lake she looked at Jacob and asked, "Did I get you?"

Jacob sighed softly as he continued to relax on the waves. He thought he heard a splashing sound but ignored it and continued to relax. He heard silence for a few seconds before someone shouting ''AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH "in his ears. His eyes snapped open and he sank through the waves as he tried to stop his beating heart. He swam to the surface and slowly breathed out. He looked around and saw Nikkie laughing uncontrollably. She looked at him and questioned if she had gotten him. He exhaled again before responding to her question. ''Yeah....Yeah.....you got me...you got me good" he answered as he breathed a sigh of relief.

Nikkie giggled at Jacob. "Well, you can't relax in the lake totally unguarded like that without that happening at least once to you." The giggles kept coming until Nikkie was laughing again. She stopped abruptly and grinned happily. "I wish I hadn't laughed so soon, it would have been funnier to see your face," she laid back in the water before perking back up. "So! Now that you adrenaline is running, what should we do? I've already chosen a couple things for us to do, so now it's your turn."

Jacob breathed out one last sigh of relief before making sure to make a mental note of being on guard whenever he went for a dip in the lake. He smiled as Nikkie started to laugh again . Wow, she really likes to laugh a lot. It's good to always have some humor in everything She stated that she had chosen things that would keep their adrenaline running before explaining that it was his turn. Jacob thought for a few seconds before answering,"Hmmmm....let's visit the Pegasi at their stable". As soon as he finished, Jacob raced toward the shore as part of a headstart.

"Hey!" Nikkie began swimming after Jacob. She wasn't as fast in the water as she was on land but if she hit the shore not to far behind Jacob she could catch him and perhaps beat him on land. Her fingers brushed the bottom of the lake and she scrambled to her feet, running as best as she could through the water. Finally back on land she put on some speed and raced into the forest. She jumped over any logs and bushes low enough to jump over and ran around those that were to high. She broke through the cover of the trees and kept on running to the stables. She was going a lot slower than when she started and she was sure that Jacob was right behind her. Not only can he very nearly beat me in a foot race, he's got the stamina to keep up with me. She ran into the stables, lost her footing on the loose hay and ended up in a heap at the end of the hall. "Well, this day certainly likes to hurt me," she groaned before rolling to her knees. First the tree, then the sand and now the ground. All that's left to hurt me is wind. Strike me oh great Zeus..... Wait, scratch that. Don't strike me. "Are you positive that you are just a child of Demeter? You seem to have a bit of Hermes mixed in."

Jacob ran onto land as fast as he could because he knew she could catch up. He heard her get out of the water and tried to speed his pace up. He saw her pass him and tried to stay close. He jumped and dodged various objects in the forest as they sped toward the stables. He broke through the trees, and noticed she was starting to slow down. He tried to put on a burst of speed but couldn't feel any left. He screeched to a halt in front of the stables, and watched as Nikkie tried to stop, only to crash into a haystack. She groaned and rolled out of the heap and questioned if he was truly a son of Demeter or really a son of Hermes. He chuckled and reached his hand out to help her up, ''I've spent a lot of time running in the country, and I'm pretty sure Demeter's my mom.

Nikkie groaned again and took Jacob's hand helping herself up, stretching as she did so. "Well, if you say so," she went over to her red roan and patted his cheek. "Wanna fly Lughna?" she asked him. The roan whickered and shook out his mane. Nikkie let him out and he trotted out into the hall and outside with Nikkie following. "And this is why I wish I wasn't in love with you. Knees please." Lughna seemed to roll his eyes at her but he complied and knelt so Nikkie could mount up. He stood again when she settled on his back and she looked back at Jacob. "You coming?" The pegasus unfurled his wings and gave a few slow beats to warm them up.

Jacob pulled her up and chuckled lightly. He watched as she strode over to her red roan and asked if he wanted to ride him. ''It's alright. I don't think Shade would like it if I rode another pegasus over him'', Jacob answered as he strode over to his night-black pegasus' stall. The dark horse neighed lightly, as if he wanted to get out of the stable and stretch his wings. Jacob only merely smiled and led him out. Shade stretched his wings as a warm up, and took in the fresh smell of the grass. He slightly knelt so Jacob could climb onto him. ''Oh Shade, you act as if you can read my mind" Jacob said to his pegasus. Shade responded with a slight twinkle in his eyes as he shook his mane. Nikkie questioned if he was coming, only to be answered with the sound of Shade running and taking off into the air. ''Does that answer your question?!" Jacob shouted down as Shade neighed in delight.

"Ready Lughna?" The pegasus arched his neck and pranced forward before leaping into the wind. "Showoff," Nikkie muttered to him and he snorted in objection. "Fine, you wanna showoff? Go for it." Nikkie wrapped her fingers into Lughna's long mane and leaned over his neck. With her prepared Lughna began climbing higher in the sky before folding his wings and plummeting to the earth. Nikkie laughed over the roar of the wind as Lughna caught himself and began rising into the sky again. They then spiraled slowly down into the vicinity of Jacob and Shade. "How's that?" she asked, a clear challenge in her voice.

Shade and Jacob continued to soar above the camp as they floated in the wind. As they were flying, they suddenly noticed the fast scaling figure of Nikkie and Lughna as they climbed higher into the air. Jacob and Shade watched as Lughna folded his wings, and plummeted towards the earth. Jacob caught the faint sound of Nikkie laughing, as Lughna spread out his wings again and caught himself. They rose up a little more, then slowly descended to the vicinity of the dark horse and his rider. Jacob smirked as she asked how she did. ''It was good, but we can do it better", Jacob challenged as he and Shade rose higher into the sky. When feeling they had gone high enough, Jacob whispered a silent,"Ready?". Shade nodded his head, angled himself vertically, and subsequently overturned into a dive. As they were falling, Shade spread out his wings so the wind caught them and they turned right side up. They rose to the spot were Nikkie and Lughna were waiting. ''We did good. No?" Jacob questioned as Shade shook his mane.

"Nothing that we can't beat. Come on Lughna!" The roan tossed his head and climbed again. They stopped at a dizzying height and hung suspended for a moment before Lughna rolled to his side and fell rolling like that. He caught himself and made a few tight loops. They then corkscrewed up to Shade and Jacob. They circled them, once, twice then fell again. They corkscrewed downwards before pulling up. Nikkie laid across Lughna's neck tired and dizzy from all that spinning. Lughna's breathing was unaffected, in fact, he seemed jazzed up. "You have the same amount of energy as I do, boy," she hugged his neck as they flew up to Shade and Jacob again. She sat up once they reached their altitude. "Beat that."

Jacob and Shade stared in awe as Nikkie and Lughna did circus-like stunts in the air. As they finished, it seemed Lughna was eager to do the stunts all over again. Jacob laughed, Those two make a perfect pair. They both have too much energy for their bodies He thought to himself. The two flew up to where Jacob and Shade were eagerly waiting to prove they could do better stunts. She exclaimed, ''Beat that", which only fueled him to do more. Jacob smiled and answered, ''Gladly". He patted Shade's mane, and pegasus and rider, slowly rose higher into the air. When they felt the air change slightly in the atmosphere, they overturned and once again plummeted down vertically. As they were going, they spun vigorously as they continued to plummet. Suddenly, they rose and climbed back up a little higher than they had been and flipped right in front of Nikkie and Lughna. Jacob clung onto Shade's mane, as he tried to control the dizziness in his head. ''Theres...your..answer" Jacob exclaimed as he panted.

Just watching made Nikkie dizzy all over again. Nikkie held her head when Jacob came back. "Oh, please stop this spinning. Well done. But I think we got you beat still," she grinned at Jacob and then nudged Lughna in the ribs lightly. He surged upward and dove for the forest. Instead of pulling up they wove between the tree trunks. Nikkie didn't need to give Lughna guidance, he knew what he was doing. All Nikkie had to do was stay flat against his neck and lean with him as he dodged trunks, dip under branches and scare nymphs. In a clearing he stopped so suddenly Nikkie almost flew off his back. He touched down lightly, obviously proud of himself. "Remind me to give you a carrot when we get back to the stables, 'kay?" He nickered to let her know he'd hold her to that. She looked up at the sky to find Shade and Jacob, "Let's go meet them. But, please, if you can help it, no spinning. I'm starting to get a headache from it all. They were back in the sky and next to Jacob in no time. "How'd we do?"

Jacob smiled in victory, but it was all in vain when Nikkie stated that could still top it. He watched as Nikkie and Lughna dove towards the forest. He couldn't fully see, but it looked like they were weaving in and out through the thick woody area, dodging and branches and, most likely, scaring any wood nymphs they came upon. When they resurfaced, Nikkie asked how they had done. ''That was fantastic. But we're not going to quit" He answered as he patted Shade's mane. The peagasus reared up and dove toward the ground. They zoomed straight towards the lake. As they raced above the water, Jacob grabbed a lone flower from the surface, and sped his free hand across the water. As they reached the end, they reared and shot straight up, causing a small wave of sorts. Shooting up, they overturned once more and raced towards the cabins. As they reached, the weaved between some of them before shooting upwards, parallel to Zeus' Cabin. They flew towards Nikkie and Lughna when they finished. Jacob handed her the flower and said,''A beautiful flower for a beautiful girl. Now, try and top that".

Nikkie watched as Jacob raced above the surface of the lake and weave between the trees. When they reached her and Lughna Jacob handed her a flower. "Cute, what movie did you get this from?" she teased. "And topping that, no problem. Try to top this," she patted Lughna's left side before diving off. She and Lughna fell together, parallel with the other. Suddenly Lughna veered and caught and she clung to his neck. "That was closer to the ground more than usual my friend. He flew above the ground before shooting up to meet the other two once more. "Not for the faint of heart, I must say," though Nikkie was trying to control her pulse rate.

[Jacob Adams]

Jacob chuckled as she questioned what movie he had gotten the line from. His eyebrow raised a little when she stated that she could easily top his attempts. He watched as she patted Lughna's side and they dove off. They fell parallel to each other, veered up and then dove towards the ground again. They flew near the ground then once again veered toward their waiting crowd. Jacob and Shade smirked, ''Not bad, but we can beat that", Jacob exclaimed as he patted Shade's mane. They flew straight toward the ground, and veered forward. Jacob clung on as the wind flew through his hair and Shade's mane. They veered once more, shooting straight toward Nikkie and Lughna. ''I see what you mean" Jacob exclaimed as he too tried to control his pulse rate.

"I warned you did I not?" Lughna arched his neck and snorted, obviously thinking it wouldn't be hard to beat Jacob and Shade. "Lughna..." Nikkie warned. The pegasus turned to look at her before looking back at Shade. "Lughna, don't even-" the rest was cut off as Lughna dropped like a stone. "Snot!" Nikkie shouted in his ear. Lughna went back to the forest again weaving between the trunks and breaking through the tree canopy a few times. They passed over the lake, he skimmed his front hooves in the water before looping up and diving in. He was only under for a few moments and when he surfaced Nikkie was hanging on like her life depended on it. "You are not getting that carrot now." Lughna shook his wet mane out and neighed happily anyway. "What was the point of that? Huh? There was no point! You were just being your normal showoff!" Nikkie sighed. Like this would discourage him from doing stunts. "Annoying twit," Nikkie grumbled as they flew to Jacob and Shade. He gave her a look like 'Well, duh' and she simply stuck her tongue out at him. They had reached the other two. "Sorry about that. This one has issues when it comes to stunts." As if to prove her correct, Lughna had a very smug look.

ooc: For undisclosed reasons, only known to Shade. I have been requested to change him into a girl.

Jacob could feel anger starting to rise in Shade's veins. He knew that Shade didn't like the fact that Lughna was being so arrogant. ''Now boy, before.." Jacob was stopped when Shade turned it's head to look back it him. Shade seemed to be upset about something he had said. ''What's wrong?" Jacob asked the upset Pegasus. ''Was it what Lughna did?" Shade only nodded half way. ''Then, the only other thing that would upset you would be because I called you a....boy" Shade continued looking at him. ''Don't tell me your a.....",Shade nodded. "Well..that's..unexpected" Jacob started. He only had a few words to say before Shade shot downwards. He...She once again veered toward the lake, copying Lughna's movements, they dove underwater. A few moments later, they resurfaced and flew through the forest, weaving in and out between trees. They veered up and shot towards the cabins once more. They weaved between a few, before shooting up and flying to meet Lughna and Nikkie. Jacob patted down his spiked up hair as Shade flicked her tail. She had never had this much fun with.....Lughna of all Pegasus'. ''Me thinks...Shade is a very...proud Pegasus too" Jacob said.
