Alina could barely speak. How did she end up here? What in the world was going on? She didn’t remember walking here. She coughed from the dustiness of the attic. She had only been up here once before when Reed had gotten a quest and he needed to see the Oracle. Seeing as he was only 14 at the time, Reed had begged her to come with her. It was one thing to see the Oracle’s host walking around Camp, but to walk straight into her home was scary. Hanna wasn’t always a very friendly person. Alina thought that if she had the chance to walk to her, she might actually like Hanna. “I don’t know how I ended up here,” Alina mumbled to herself, “But I’m here now, and it must be for a reason. I might as well go talk to Hanna.” The daughter of Zeus put her left hand shakily on the doorknob on the door that led to Hanna’s hideaway. She really wasn’t usually nervous like this, but for some reason, prophesies scared her more than anything. Quickly, she pulled her hand back from the knob, not because it had burned her or anything, it was because she had forgotten to knock. Alina smirked to herself knocked three times on the hard wooden door. A muffled ‘Mmmhmm?’ came from inside and Alina turned the knob and opened the door. The attic room was not at all what Alina had expected. It looked completely different from the last time she had been up here. The walls were lined with shelves that held priceless artifacts from random quests and gods. The carpet was fuzzy and almost looked golden because of the light streaming through the open window on the wall opposite her. In the corner in the right stood a little bed with Hanna—host of the Oracle—sitting on it and reading a book. She looked up for a moment, just to see who it was, smiled a little, then looked back to her book. “Yes? Can I help you with something?” Hanna said kindly, but still didn’t look up. “Well, I’m not really sure. I just kind of appeared here...” Alina said, just realizing that she had no idea what to say. Hanna was probably going to think she was crazy. But Hanna just laughed little, put her book aside and said, “That’s what they all say when they come up here looking for a prophecy. You half bloods are so restless these days. Always worried that something is wrong with the world and you have to save it.” Alina was about to deny that she had ever thought something like that when she stopped herself. Whoa, now that I think about it. That is what I have been thinking. Hanna continued, “Three half bloods have already come up this week, and it’s only Thursday! Of course none of them got a prophecy, much less permission from Chiron for a quest in the first place!” She paused to put her long brown hair behind her ear, but before she could get any words out of her mouth her eyes rolled back. A green mist swirled around her and she said in a voice that hardly sounded like her own, “With five of your kind, you will start Travel east to the olden days, But lost will be one on the way, The darkness is gathering, Back in your home land, But what you will find in the end is, More confusing than when you began” ~~~~~~~~ Alina was the first one gathered at the ping pong table, waiting for the emergency meeting of the Cabin Heads. As soon as Hanna had recited the Prophecy, Alina had run downstairs to tell Chiron. He decided on a meeting of the Cabin Heads to discuss the prophecy. He was now outside, informing them all. The daughter of Zeus took her place at one end of the Ping Pong table just as Reed rushed into the Big House. “Alina! What’s going on? Chiron said it was really important!” Reed exclaimed. Before Alina could respond, Dylan Swift walked in, using her hands to find her seat as Athena Cabin Head. Chiron entered right behind Dylan in full centaur form. “The rest are coming.” He said gravely.

Sawyar was cleaning up her bed and the floor surrounding it when a camper came in. "Where's the cabin head?" they asked. Sawyar thought for a moment , "Dominic?" she tapped her chin, "I don't know. Can I give him a message or something?" the camper shook their head and muttered something that Sawyar couldn't quite catch. "If you see him tell him to be at the Big House." And they took off. Sawyar raised an eyebrow. What is so important that they need Dominic so quickly? She packed away her clothes in the trunk and went to one of the windows. Reed was heading to the Big House too, Dylan wasn't to far behind. Sawyar watched them go, her curiosity mounting. I shouldn't go, it is just for cabin heads. The two disappeared from view. "Ah, who am I kidding?" she asked herself. She kicked her blankets under her bed and left. Whatever was going on she intended to find out. She stayed far behind Reed and Dylan. One, if it was so important that the messenger wouldn't tell only said that Dominic had to get to the Big House ASAP, she shouldn't try to eavesdrop. And two, Dylan was blind so she took the extra precaution not to be heard. Yet. Chiron was waiting to the porch and once to two heads were in, he followed. Sawyar ran the rest of the way to the steps and launched up the stairs. She went inside and to the 'meeting room'. Currently only four were in there. She went farther down the hall and around the corner. They wouldn't start the meeting, whatever it was, until all the heads were there, and until then she'll sit here.

Dom had just finished swimming, and relised that he had archery practise. "chiron won't mind if I'm a couple of minutes late. Going back under the water he started swimming again and as he went back for his 5th lap he was aware of someone watching him from above the lake. Pushing himself back up he surfaced, turned to the person and said, "Yeah. What is it.?" As he climbed out of the lake the messenger gave him the messge that he was needed at the Big House. Quickly pulling his shirt back on, he thanked the boy, and hurried toward the big house. He arrived, walked into the room and took his seat at the Poseidon chair.

David really wasn't enjoying life at camp. He'd only been here a couple of months and usually he would've been fine and probably enjoying himself and doing whatever activities he liked. Except for little problem. He had no idea what he enjoyed. Gods amnesia was annoying at times. Walking across the field he noticed a whole load of people going toward the big house. And they were all cabin heads. "Hey thats none of my business." he muttered to himself. "Ah. Who am I kidding." he said. As he was sneaking round the side of the house he noticed someone else sneaking as well. Sawyer. Daughter of Poseidon. "Oh. This is going to be fun." he thought. He followed her as quietly as he could, and when she snuck into a room, he flung the door open and said "Just what do you think your doing?" Before waiting for a reply he then said "Now, my guess is your waiting for something to happen except, your not supposed to be here all else you would've followed everyone else into the meeting room. Is that right.?

Sawyar nearly jumped out of her skin at the surprise and spun around ready to punch whoever surprised her. She almost did, but caught herself just in time when she saw it wasn't a head. Just David Forester. She unclenched her hand and let it drop. She simply glared at him. "Yeah, I want to know what is going on. Is that why you're here? Cause with that entrance I'm surprised I didn't noticed anything earlier." She hadn't thought about the fact she may not be the only one following the strange procession of all the cabin heads. It wasn't like their were on the brink of war and they needed to make plans immediately. Well actually they could. The gods had a nasty habit of pissing off a bunch of all powerful beings. And they had an even nastier habit of dragging their kids in to do their dirty work. Thanks guys, you're the best. Sawyar sighed, "Do you have an idea of what's going on?" ~~~ Ash had been reteaching herself how to play the violin when she got the message to report to the Big House. She had stood in the middle of the porch for a few minutes afterwards wondering why. She was only a cabin head for a very minor goddess. She placed her violin and its bow back in the case before leaving. When she got there she hesitated. She was still a little new and hadn't met to many people. Trying to ignore her shyness she moved up the steps and into the house. It wasn't hard to find the meeting room and she slid in and to a chair trying to go as unnoticed as possible. Though if she wanted to be inconspicuous she could tone down her outfits.

Amaria had been practicing her sword fighting for the past hour and was breathing heavily, and her arm felt like it was burning. She was practicing against one of the Ares daughters and was about to make the winning thrust when a camper popped up beside her and said, "Chiron needs you to come to the Big House for a cabin head meeting! It’s important!" Amaria almost whipped around and stabbed him, but luckily the Ares daughter had taken advantage of the distraction and knocked her sword out of her hand. "Do you always sneak up behind people while they have pointy objects in there hands?! Amaria said irritated. "Sorry but it’s really important!" "Ya, you already mentioned that," she mumbled under her breath. She sighed and put away her sword and other gear. She had a pretty good idea what this meeting would be about. There had been some strange things happening lately. As Amaria walked to the Big House she could see other cabin heads making there way over there as well. When she walked in, she spotted Shane and took a seat next to him.

Alina played with her hair as she watched the rest of the cabin heads file in. As Amaria walked in, Alina tried to tell her what was happening with her eyes so she would be prepared for what Chiron was about to say. Chiron trotted over to his place by the table in full horse form and gave everyone an intense gaze to stop the whispering. All the cabin heads immediately quieted and looked up at Chiron with their full attention. “I have summoned this unplanned meeting because of a surprise prophecy.” He stopped gave a harsh look to Alina. Reed’s intense brown eyes widened and he jerked his head towards Alina, not taking his eyes off of her even when Chiron started talking again. “Alina, would you please tell us what the prophecy said?” Chiron asked. Alina nodded and cleared her throat, "With five of your kind, you will start Travel east to the olden days, But lost will be one on the way, The darkness is gathering, Back in your home land, But what you will find in the end is, More confusing than when you began" As Alina finished, Reed finally took his gaze off of her and moved it to the edge of the table. Ash sat up straighter when Alina started to deliver the prophecy. She didn't like the sound of it at all, especially the part where one was to be lost. She looked at all the cabin heads in the room. Alina calm looking but she might be just as worried and Chiron didn't seem to be happy about the prophecy. Ash didn't know what her facial expression was, probably scared, the other heads seem to be taking it quite well even with the gloomy feeling it brought with it.

A prophecy? Amaria hadnt been expecting that. There hadnt been a prophecy in a while, and Amaria had been starting to think something was wrong with Hannah. The prophecy didnt give away much. It mentioned some darkness gathering and that didnt sound good. Amaria looked over at Shane. They locked eyes and each knew what each other was thinking: Could this be the beginning of the next great prophecy? Amaria kept going through the words in her head. By the sound of the prophecy it didnt seem like it was going to end well.

Alina knew everyone was staring at her. She didn’t like the feeling at all. Glancing up at Chiron, she gave him a look that said I’m so sorry. He caught the meaning right away and shook his head, giving her a look that said, No, it isn’t your fault. Don’t blame yourself. Chiron took one more look around the table to make sure everyone was focused. When he was sure nobody was staring into space, he said, “With five of your kind, you will start. Travel east to the olden days.” He recited with perfect knowledge, then he changed back into his normal voice, “We might as well start at the beginning. What do you think that means?” He waved his hand, telling them to start blurting out answers to the prophesy. Reed Johnson, son of Hermes, shrugged, “Well, the first line most likely means that five demi-gods will go on this quest.” He finished, and looked around the ping pong table for any objections.

Ash hand rubbed her forehead trying to think. A new prophecy? Didn't they just finish one really big one? Chiron repeated a line in the prophecy and Ash tuned back into the conversation. Reed offered the first bit of information and nobody seemed to go against it. Ash looked down at the table. Well the next bit is so obvious...Travel east to the olden days.... East would be Europe and Asia and all those others, but to the olden days, of Greek mythology would be Greece. Which that is affirmed in the, Back to your homeland, bit. She looked up and meekly spoke. "Traveling east would be going to Greece, wouldn't it?" --- Sawyar crouched outside conference room. As soon as she heard it she had began thinking. It's kind of a dark prophecy, of course what prophecy has us skipping through a flower filled meadow of bunnies? And five demi-gods? Isn't that dangerous? Didn't that happen before and a few people died? Isn't three the lucky number? She listened carefully to the next person who spoke up. It was quiet really hard to hear, Sawyar just barely heard it. And traveling to Greece? Are you kidding me? How does anyone expect to get there? We have no boats. And going on a passenger ship is just asking for more causalities then there should be. And going by plane might present an obstacle to. There is Zeus, and the Furies, and other spiteful monsters. And its not like we can pop in. She thought of the rest of the prophecy, but didn't make any more questions then she already had for now.

Charlotte crept towards the Big House, intent on getting a close up of what was happening. "Of course," she said to herself, "I could be wrong and this kind of thing could happen every day." Or she could be right and this was a surprise meeting that she wasn't invited to. Well, Charlotte didn't especially appreciate that. Then she noticed two other people had gotten to the room before her. "Well hey there!" She whispered cheerfully. "Can anyone tell me what has been happening? Or why all of the cabin heads are here? I'm new. Does this sort of thing happen every day? Has anyone said anything yet? Who are you? Do you know what this is about? I'm Charlotte, daughter of Zeus. I'm also a random person. But I don't like not being invited to meetings. What's happening?" She asked for the third time, and paused, a break in the non-stop questions she had been asking earlier.

Sawyar looked behind herself to the new girl behind her. This time she didn't react the way she had when David had surprised her. If they heard anyone of them now then they would be kicked out of the Big House until the conference was over. She looked mildly at the girl waiting for her to finish her reel of questions. She raised an eyebrow. "You done? As far as I know the heads are here to discuss a new prophecy that has just been given to Alina. Now this doesn't not happen everyday, and all that has been added so far is five kids are needed for the quest and we might be traveling to Greece. That is what one of the girls said. I don't know though, it seems like an impossible task to get there." Sawyar stuck her hand out to the girl. "It's nice to meet you Charlotte. I'm Sawyar, daughter of Poseidon."

David took one look at Charlotte standing behind them and rolled his eyes. He hadn't made a very good impression on her the first time he met her. It was rare for him to not get on with a sibling, but hey, everything had to happen once. So instead of answering her questions, he let Sawyar get on with it and just gave a gave a nod in her general direction.

Charlotte meekly replied, “Yes, I’m done. It’s nice to meet you too. But do you think we could fake meeting each other later? Because Dad gave me act-more-like-a-child-of-Zeus homework, and to do that I usually need to be loud, which would give us away. The other reason is because if people ask when we met, I would like a better answer than, ‘We met because both of us were eavesdropping on the secret meeting of the cabin-heads.’”

Sawyar smiled. "Yeah, it might be a good idea to have that second 'first' meeting. Though. I wonder what would happen if they discovered that we had been listening in," she frowned at that thought before shrugging. "Eh, worst they can do is kill us right?" Sawyar's shoulder's shook in a silent laugh. Oh, that would be funny.... Is it odd that I find death a funny thing? Sawyar settled into complete silence, going off on that train of thought.

Seriously, Charlotte contradicted Sawayar. “No. Death is not the worst thing in the world. Some things are more horrible than you could ever imagine, like lo- like other things…” She trailed off lamely but added lightly, “And that’s saying a lot because I have a pretty good imagination. So why are you two listening again? I’m here because… well, to tell the truth, I am just too curious for my own good. Ask my mo- ask anyone who knows me.”

Sawyar looked a Charlotte with a wondering expression on her face. What would be worse then death? She could tell that Charlotte didn't want to talk about it so Sawyar didn't say anything. So she just smiled when Charlotte said she was curious. "Oh, good! Another of my kind! It is so nice that there is someone else in this camp that has uncontrollable curiosity." Sawyar shut up again when she realized Charlotte hadn't quite finished her sentence. "Ask you what?" Sawyar now wasn't going to let the topic slid she wanted to know what made Charlotte stop in the middle of her sentences twice.

Charlotte looked away, but not before someone could see fathomless, excruciating pain in her usually cheerful eyes. "It's nothing, but I guess I shouldn't say that since you're just as curious as I am." She gave a wan smile. "I got into trouble once for being too curious. That's pretty much it." Charlotte looked back up and her eyes were back to normal again, without the slightest hint of the pain that had been in them before. "Now, about this quest. Didn't you say we? Does that mean you're going?"

Sawyar raised an eyebrow when Charlotte turned away. It was obviously something she didn't want to talk about. But now Sawyar's curiosity was at its highest level. She would find out, just not while they were trying to eavesdrop on the secret meeting. When Charlotte asked if Sawyar was going she knew it was a change of subject to get away from a certain memory, but she still couldn't help smiling a mischievous smile when Charlotte asked. "Oh, no doubt about it. Even if they won't let me be apart of the actual quest I will be there."

“Really? So you’re going to tell them about listening in? Or are you just going to follow them? What if you’re discovered?” Charlotte’s eyes grew almost impossibly wide at this thought. “Will you get punished?” She suddenly looked down at the floor rather embarrassed at asking about that. Drawing her knife, Charlotte set to work absent-mindedly at carving a strange symbol into part of the floor.

"No, I'm not going to tell them that I was eavesdropping. I'll just say I came in to ask Chiron for more practice and just happened to hear and listen in for the entire meeting. It is a totally different thing," Sawyar still had the grin on her face. It is completely different then purposely listening. If I say it like that it'll will be an 'accident'. Yeah right. "If I follow and get killed or injured while doing so, at least it won't be in this camp. And sure I might get punished, but eh," Sawyar shrugged, "I just figure, 'At least I had fun.'"

Charlotte grinned. "That's my kind of thinking. So, what kind of person do you dislike the most? Just so I can make a good impression for our first second meeting..." Her eyes glinted mischievously and widened again. "Maybe we could have an epic battle! Or maybe we could act like arch enemies! Or maybe..." She stopped suddenly and looked down again.

"Hmmm..." Sawyar thought for a moment, "The arch enemies sounds like fun... But a little, oh what's the word? Cliché? Eh, perhaps the epic battle. I love to fight. Well, first do you know how to fight well?" Sawyar asked. If they were to do a fight in their 'first' meeting Sawyar didn't want to accidentally hurt Charlotte if she wasn't experienced with fighting.

The corners of Charlotte’s mouth turned up with her face. “I love fighting too… I know a couple of pretty good moves,” she said slyly. “I’m, not boasting, of course, but I am quite familiar with them.” Charlotte laughed softly in anticipation. “And then after the epic battle we could admit our admiration for each others' battle skills and ‘become’ inseparable friends… What a perfect set-up! But being inseparable friends sound a little sappy and sappy is disgusting. How about once in a while we get into a big blow up, are arch enemies for a little while, and then go back to being inseparable friends?” Charlotte beamed like she had just said the most amazing thing in the world.

Alina nodded slowly, "Greece would make sense." She glanced quickly at Chiron and an unnoticeable understanding passed between them, "I was born in Europe. That could be what it means for the 'Back in your home land' part. Reed cringed as Alina finished her statement. Only a couple people at that table knew why because only a few had been at Camp that long. "No!" Reed exclaimed as he jumped up out of his chair, "I won't let you go to Europe." Alina glared at him until he sat back down again.

Ash kept her eyes on her lap. Her thoughts of going to Greece were confirmed by Alina, but Reed's reaction the Alina going to Europe surprised her. What happened in Europe that was so dangerous that Reed doesn't want Alina going to Europe? Ash was thoroughly confused. She didn't understand what warranted that reaction from Reed and she doubted she never will. It was in the past after all. --- Sawyar nodded in agreement to what Charlotte said then straightened when she heard the conversation pick back up in the conference room. It was someone against going to Greece. Got that right, we have no way to get there. She listened and realized that the outburst wasn't that they had no transportation, it was about something else. Sawyar couldn't catch the reason, so she stayed quiet.

Charlotte smiled winningly at Sawyar and turned back to listening in on the heads. "...won't let you go to Europe!" She tensed, startled. What was so bad about Europe? Come to think about it, that sounded like Reed! And Reed would probably only care that much about Alina, and they're both cabin heads, so Alina must be going to Europe on a quest and Reed doesn't want her to! Charlotte smiled understandingly and kept listening. After Reed's possible outburst, the sounds inside were more subdued and a tensity hung in the air until a scraping chair broke the silence. Probably someone sitting down or getting up, she thought to herself. But who? Charlotte tried to shrug off the idea of getting closer but it kept nagging at her. What ARE they doing in there? She glanced at Sawyar once and mouthed the words, "I'm dying to get closer. Any ideas?"

Sawyar pondered the idea of getting closer. They were practically in the doorway already. "Ummm... No, unless you have spidery powers and can turn invisible. But it shouldn't be that hard to do so, I mean were are surrounded by kids with amazing abilities. Oh wait, I forgot, none of us have been bitten by a radioactive spider, so there goes that plan," she shrugged. "Oh, I know how we can hear better. We could announce ourselves and waltz right in. Well, then we should be ready to waltz out cause we wouldn't stay long. Hmmm...." Sawyar wasn't really in the mood for making plans at the moment. "Well... Never mind, I'm fresh out."
